Making fun of Stefan Molyneux is a thing only libertarians should be allowed to do. It’s our in-joke, and the views of the average tumblr anti-libertarian are normally so breathtakingly vapid Molyneux really is a philosopher king by comparison.

Molyneux is a cutie. Keep him in the family. :)

if i can convince libertarians to step away from stefan molyneux

Here’s what I don’t like about him:

1. he sees his atheism in opposition to agnosticism - wants everybody to join his religion, much like Dawkins; this has little to do with being a libertarian, but not in his mind
2. his overemphasis on interpersonal advice which brought him charges of cultism - quite rightly so (LE: his wife is a therapist, maybe that’s why)
3. too much appeal to authority / ipse dixit in debates - “i’m a businessman, i know how this works”
4. refuses to go into details on how justice or other thorny concepts would work
5. he seems to pursue exposure at the expense of staying true to principles

That’s all I can think of off the top of my head. What’s your beef with him?
